92/100 | James Halliday
92/100 | The Wine Front
Saltram have been producing wines in the Barossa since 1859 and their Mamre Brook Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the iconic wines coming out of the region. With notes of fresh black currants, dark chocolate, dried spice and tobacco leaf, this complex and concentrated cabernet is everything you'd want in a full-bodied Aussie red. Delicious.

The winery writes "Complex layered wine, brimming with notes of fresh black currants, and dark chocolate. Undertones of mulberries, dried spices, and tobacco leaf. Medium to full bodied, the palate is richly layered with complex powdery tannins. Concentrated flavours of dark forest berries, and bramble enhance the seamless structure and lingering mouthfeel enhanced by integrated oak maturation."
