FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - "Rich and robust with a velvety mouthfeel, upfront and fabulously drinkable."
This is the first Big Villa* wine that we have sourced from outside New Zealand, but when we tasted an evaluative sample of this Barossa Valley Shiraz, we knew we had to throw our parochial sensibilities aside and do the right thing for our customers.
Fragrant, ripe and brimming with an amalgam of red and black fruit, this is a powerfully weighted shiraz from the wonderful 2021 vintage. It's warm and inviting. It's generous and fulfilling. And it's brilliant buying with the trusted Big Villa advantage. Already enjoyable and looking nicely balanced and integrated, this wine will continue to blossom over the coming 8 years.
*Big Villa is an Advintage brand. To protect their brand integrity, we are unable to divulge the identity of the winery who originally produced this wine. We can say that we only pick wines to sell under the Big Villa label when they offer our customers exceptional value. Buy with complete confidence.

Robust, weighty expression of classic Barossa Shiraz. Richly flavoured, complex and complete.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It's instantly appealing with blackberry, dark plum, olive, warm spice, and assorted nut aromas. The palate is silky-smooth and plump with a fleshy texture and beautifully melded tannins, finishing rich and robust with a velvety mouthfeel. Upfront and fabulously drinkable."
