90/100 | Cameron Douglas MS
90/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "a fruit-expressive palate offering juicy flavours combined with supple texture and fine tannins, making it immediately appealing."
Paul Tudor MW writes about the 2019 vintage "Lush and creamy to taste, that sweet oak is again evident, this is a seductive, generous, fleshy red to serve with rich foods, or the cheese course. If you like big Aussie Shiraz, or opulent Rhone reds, this is for you!"
Sangiovese is the spicy, middle-weight red wine that is most famous as the main varietal in Chianti. Vino Lascito is produced further north-east from Chianti, in the hills of Emilia-Romagna, and it is a lovely glass of wine. Vinted in a bold and fulsome style by sangiovese standards, the 2020 uses parcels of sun-dried fruit in the fermentation to bring added concentration and depth to the palate - and this is an awesome glass of red wine, modestly priced with great concentration and rewarding dry flavours.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Sweetly ripe and elegantly perfumed on the nose showing dark cherry, floral, green olive and almond notes, leading to a fruit-expressive palate offering juicy flavours combined with supple texture and fine tannins, making it immediately appealing."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas and flavours of plums and tart cherries, crumbled stones and light flavours of vanilla and a touch of clove. Taut, fresh and youthful on the palate with a classic firm texture driven by tannins and acidity then flavours of red fruit and plum to reflect the variety and bouquet. An even lengthy finish with best drinking from day of purchase through 2026+."
The importer writes "Smooth and sophisticated, this Sangiovese is bursting with ripe fruit flavours of cherry and raspberry, accompanied by a touch of spice. The wine has an intense ruby red colour, with a rounded and lasting finish. A full-bodied, well-balanced red."
