Enzo Bartoli Barolo Bussia 2016

Located in Monforte d’Alba, Bussia Cru is renowned for producing some of the world’s most coveted Barolo wines. The vineyards of Enzo Bartoli Bussia are located 430 meters above sea level with a south-southwest exposure and the Nebbiolo grapes are harvested by hand in early October. The grapes are macerated for 20 days and then fermented in steel tanks under controlled temperature conditions. Then the malolactic fermentation is started which gives the wine a rounder and softer character, the wine is then left to mature for 3 years of which at least 2 years are in oak barrels.

The wine is ready to drink now but It is also possible to store for another 7-15 years. It is complex with perfumed aromas, good acidity and marked tannins, which is typical of wine on the nebbiolo grape. The wine is especially suitable for game and white truffle dishes.
