95/100 'Outstanding' | Cameron Douglas MS
From the excellent 2020 vintage and crafted from older vines, this is a power-packed cabernet sauvignon dominant blend from the famed Gimblett Gravels sub-region. Its a dense and dark, broody wine with powerful fruit weight countered with fine tannins and gentle acids. Exemplary.

Lovely bouquet with strong messages of fruit, oak and complexity. Darker fruit flavours with blackberry, dark plum and wild forest berries, then violets and dark oak spices. Dry with fine dusty and chalky tannins, plenty of acidity and a long, complex and tasty finish.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Made with a blend of the Cabernets and Merlot present a bouquet of complexity and freshness, aromas of violets and new sweet oak, blackberry and dark roasted plums, dried spices and stony soils. There’s definitive pretty side to the bouquet that is both alluring and complex. A smooth texture touches that palate for a brief moment before the firmness and youthful power of tannins and acidity take control. Flavours of plums and violets, tea and blackberry fruits offer contrast and complexity. A firm, dry wine with a delicious core and power, texture and finish."
Cabernet sauvignon (74%) and merlot (26%).
