FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "Gratifying and hugely appealing"
90/100 'Premium' | Cameron Douglas MS
There's something special going on here and that's exactly what you can expect in your glass. This is a lovely glass of Australian red with layers of dark fruits on a velvet smooth palate that sings with hints of tobacco, dried herbs and eucalyptus. Great value.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Opulent and engaging with dark fruit richness, dark cocoa, cake spice and toasty oak aromas on the nose. The palate is concentrated and plush, filled with powerful fruit flavours backed by layers of fine tannins, making it gratifying and hugely appealing."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "A classic bouquet and palate with blackberry and spiced dark plums, some chocolate and a moment of licorice then baking spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate firm tannins and medium+ acid line underpin a core of ripe red berry fruits and plum. There’s a toasty tobacco quality and crumbled stone flavours suggestion adding complexity and length."
The winery writes "Barossan cabernet with a firm hand on the tiller. This red wine is a kind of luxury in the world of cabernet's tendency to dourness. Yet whilst there's the generosity of fruit flavour there's not the lack of tannin and requisite acidity; the wine remains - under the hand on the tiller - evenly keeled. Steak Anglais, with English Mustard. Deviled Kidneys? Croque Monsieur. No: a good Steak au Poivre with mash would be best."
