Cameron Douglas MS writes "Ripe, varietal and fruity with a core of blackberry and dark plum fruits, there are layers of mineral and barrel spices, stone and hard clay earthy qualities, a touch of cigar tobacco and bacon with clove and toasted-vanilla scents. A youthful firm textured wine touches the palate first with a core of blackberry and dark plums, boysenberry and baking spices. tannins are firm and textured with acidity delivering a firm structure overall."
The winery writes "Rich, dark blackcurrants, cassis and savoury black olive notes. Elegant, plush entry with raspberry and floral notes unfolding into darker fruits, cedar and tar notes on the palate. Elegant, wine with real depth, length and layers of complexity, allow time to unfold."
