Quality Central Otago Pinot Noir from the normally Marlborough focused winemaker, Dave Clouston. This excellent wine shows Clouston's trademark generous style and is loaded with regional dark fruits and some spicy, herbal notes. With the price of good Central Otago Pinot forever on the rise, this is a total bargain. Pair with chargrilled meats and game dishes!

Cameron Douglas MS writes "An unmistakable bouquet of Central Otago with aromas of black cherry and plum, there’s a savoury thyme and mineral quality then scents of oak, crumbled rocks, fresh air and roses. A lighter weighted wine touches the palate then a burst of red berry fruit and spice flavours with a savoury edge. Polished tannins and a youthful acid line all add up to a delicious dry wine centering on variety and finish."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is immediately appealing on the nose with sweet cherry, floral, clove, almond and dried mushroom aromas. The palate is equally attractive with supple texture and juicy fruit flavours, finishing long and silky. Harmonious and soothing, making it delightfully drinkable."
The winery writes "This Pinot Noir has a deep ruby colour and offers a complex aroma of dark forest fruits, wild thyme and subtle smoke. The palate has flavours of vibrant blackberries and cherries, with a glossy mouthfeel, delicate acidity and plush tannins."
