James Halliday writes "Excellent intensity. Sweet raisiny flavour, modest amount of rancio character, highlights of spice, orange and nuts. Acidity in good measure. Gold medal winner San Francisco Wine Show '13, and not a bad call."
The winery writes "The wine is a deep garnet colour with distinct tawny aromas of raisins, dried pears, grilled nuts and spicy, dusty oak. On the palate, balanced sweetness is complimented by fresh scidity. The result is a wine of pronounced aged character offset by freshness, with a satisfying, long, dry finish."
