Visner is an exceptional dessert wine from Italian producer, Cantina Di Ruscio. It's a must try sweet style, that is sure to impress everyone lucky enough to share a bottle with you. 

The aroma of this unique dessert wine has been described as 'Christmas in a bottle'. Visner is made by macerating wild sour cherries in a 50/50 blend of sangiovese and montepulciano from the previous vintage - with the addition of sugar and a small percentage of crushed cherry kernels. This quirky mixture re-ferments, and is then filtered and bottled. 

It pairs incredibly well with all almond-based or chocolate desserts  and is much loved in Italy as a Christmas dessert wine or delicious digestif.
