Here's an absolute winner! Château de Fontarèche is one of the most historical estates in the Languedoc, and this blend of carignan, syrah, mourvedre and grenache is a gorgeous wine. This 2022 release shows what old vines can do in the right soil. Rich, juicy and fruit-forward, it's filled with meaty / bovril notes with white pepper, cassis, violets, and sage in support. Lush and decadent, with a lingering chocolate-raspberry finish. Hard not to love!
