This excellent 2022 release is pure Central Otago Pinot at heart, combining lovely fruit sweetness with spice among a silky smooth palate feel. There's plenty of dark red fruit flavours reminiscent of good quality Central Otago Pinot with a touch of spice on the finish. Sam Kim calls it "fabulously drinkable" and we'd have to agree with that statement. And as the Welcome Swallow team say, with or without food, this lively and elegant pinot noir is perfect to enjoy in a flock or flying solo. We'd happily swallow this any day of the week.

The catchy name takes after the graceful Welcome Swallow bird who are present in the South Island of New Zealand where this wine is produced. Go long.
