A glorious example of white Rioja from one of the regions finest producers.

Vivanco Blanco is a blend of viura, tempranillo blanco and maturana blanca - the first wine in Rioja to be made with this unique blend. Using traditional viura as the base variety (50%), the wine includes, for the first time, two minority grapes which are exclusive to Rioja: tempranillo blanco and maturana blanca. The three varieties come from estate-owned vineyards grown by the Vivanco family in different terroirs across Rioja.
The results are stunning and we found this unctuous white wine really interesting and just so delicious. If you are a fan of dry, textural pinot gris or viognier - you will adore it. Buy with our highest recommendation.

The nose is expressive and intense with aromas of citrus, green apple and white peach. Delicate florals and grassy notes follow. It is a fresh wine abounding with tropical fruit and citrus flavors and wellbalanced acidity. Ideal as an aperitif with a wide variety of tapas. Also excellent with salads, white meat dishes or fish.
The distributor writes "Pale-yellow with green hues in colour, this Spanish white wine blend is clean and bright. To the nose it proves expressive, intense and complex, with aromas of citrus fruit, green apples and white peaches, underscored by elegant floral hints. Fresh and tasty in the mouth, enticing and enjoyable."

Outstanding value
And by value I don't mean "not bad for the price". I mean this is a great wine and it just happens to be cheap. Fresh, minerally, beautiful well made Euro wine. Highly recommended to anyone who likes to try outside of the mainstream grapes - you like Viognier, Chablis, Chenin Blanc etc. Buy with confidence.
