4.5 STARS | Michael Cooper
TOP VALUE | Bob Campbell MW
A perfect example of totally cellar worthy, well priced Chardonnay. The 2023 was barrel fermented in French oak and shows good stonefruit palate weight and a lightly spiced oak influence. The palate is quite fresh with a subtle flinty complexity but the overall feel in the mouth is one of balance with plenty of flavour drive.
This wine completely defies this modest price point.
It's clearly exceptional value with the Advintage Advantage and chardonnay fans who are looking for a well priced option to lay down should cellar a case over the coming 5 years.

The winery writes "This elegant and distinctive wine offers exceptional quality and true regional identity. Beautifully fragrant notes of citrus and stone fruit combine on a complex and finely styled palate."
Michael Cooper writes "Partly barrel-fermented, and matured on its yeast lees for nine months, it has vibrant, delicate, citrusy, peachy flavours, gently seasoned with toasty oak, a hint of butterscotch, and excellent depth and vigour."
