Wild Earth are a boutique central Otago producer that have carved a name for themselves with their exceptional pinot noir and their supercool cellar door that attracts tourists from far and wide. They have lauded winemaker Jen Parr at the head of their winemaking team so there's no doubt that there is something special going on in every glass of Wild Earth wine.
Their 2021 riesling is no exception. Vinted in an off-dry style, it's vibrant and tangy with notes of citrus and granny smith apples dominating the palate. A touch of salinity brings balance to the equation and leaves a long, linering finish. A truly excellent example of Central Otago Riesling that will cellar well for 5+ years.

Sam Kim writes "Intricate, detailed and pure, this stunning riesling shows white flesh nectarine, lemon sorbet, crunchy apple and white floral nuances on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate that’s linear and delightfully flowing. There’s a whisper of sweetness which is perfectly balanced by bright acidity, finishing with impressive line and length."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Delicious, refreshing and enticing aromas of sweet mandarin and red apple, lots of meyer lemon and minerality with a cold stone quality. Just dry as the wine touches the palate with immediately contrasting acidity then flavours of citrus then aple and fresh white flowers. Mandarin, minerality and limeflower carry the the wine through to a lengthy yet youthful finish."
The winery writes "This beautifully balanced Riesling is full of inviting aromas of citrus,, apple blossom, melon, grapefruit peel and green apple. A sweet entry with lime zest, melon and a touch of pink grapefruit. Beautifully balanced, it has a rich front palate that crescendos to a complex, long and mineral finish and the distinctive acidity ensures great potential for aging. Enjoyable at release, this wine will continue to evolve for 8+ years."
