Te Awanga Wildsong Syrah 2021

Wildsong is the exciting range from winemaker Rod McDonald and the Te Awanga Estate team. The range focuses on finely crafted wines that are 'Grown with respect, made with heart and packed with attitude' and has been a smash hit overseas so we're thrilled to have the range in store.

Rod McDonald has received high international praise for previous syrah releases so we're always excited to see another new syrah. Fruit for this came from the Bridge Pa Triangle and was matured in a mixture of new and seasoned oak for 12 months. It's a rich, ripe wine, loaded with dark berry flavours and hints of toasty oak on the finish. Delish.
