Wildsong is the exciting new range from winemaker Rod McDonald and the Te Awanga Estate team. The range focuses on finely crafted wines that are 'Grown with respect, made with heart and packed with attitude' and has been a smash hit overseas so we're thrilled to have the range in store.
This 2022 rosé was one of our top picks from this range. Fruit from their Te Awanga estate was used and the wine was aged on lees for a few months to develop texture and palate weight. It's a bright, vibrant rosé that shows gorgeous red fruit notes and a hint of spice on the finish. Very highly recommended and a perfect partner for a deli platter on balmy summer afternoons.

Steve Bennett MW, NZ Wine Rater writes "Candy pink colour. An exuberant fruit-driven nose with aromas of candied apple, watermelon, redcurrant, cranberries and dried herbs. Dry, fresh, with abundant, lively flavours of red berries with a crunchy apple texture and a hint of spice adding interest."
The winery writes "Fresh strawberries, rock melon, and sherbet with hints of cherry blossom on the nose. Fresh and bright in the mouth, with loads of red fruits and candied apples. A mineral drive gives way to a long, slightly spicy finish."

This wine is the best - love this Te Awanga Rose. Recently visited the Vinyard, I recommend doing so.
