This long awaited expression begins life aged in the same way as the classic Woodford Reserve, but following from there, it is further matured in barrels which have been toasted for twice as long, though only lightly charred. This imparts an added depth of sweet oaken character to the bourbon, while also developing the fruit, vanilla and caramel notes.
