FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
91/100 'Premium' | Cameron Douglas MS
91/100 | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
Tony Bish is one of New Zealand's most celebrated winemakers and has been hugely influential in the development of the modern New Zealand Chardonnay style. Fat n Sassy is styled to deliver discerning chardonnay lovers a rewarding experience at a realistic price point. It's creamy, toasty and has plenty of punchy fruit weight. Due to a significant loss of crop from the devastating Cyclone Gabrielle, this 2023 release is produced from 75% Marlborough and 25% Hawke's Bay fruit, whilst still retaining the signature Fat n Sassy style.
Another banging release from the chardonnay master with a 93pt review already under its belt. A great anytime wine.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is immediately appealing on the nose with golden peach, mango, pineapple and roasted hazelnut aromas, followed by a delectably expressed palate offering creamy texture backed by refreshing acidity. Upfront and flavoursome with a lengthy generous finish."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Bright, fresh, youthful and textured wine with aromas and flavours of fresh peaches and red apples, there’s a seam of vanilla and fine lees for breadth and texture, complexity and charm. Dry, medium+ weighted with a core of citrus then stone fruits, some spice and satin texture."
The winery writes "Vibrant yellow with pale golden hues. The aroma is exotic with grilled peach and nectarine along with hints of nashi pear and tropical fruits, along with delicate nuances of white flowers and oak spices. The palate is full and richly layered on entry with mouth-filling flavours of ripe stone fruit, red apple and sweet mandarin. There are lovely spicy nuances and sassy freshness on the finish with lingering nutty oak complexity."
