This range from Sam Harrop takes exceptional parcels of single vineyard fruit to create wines that represent the character and personality of each region.
Fiano is a high-quality, white grape variety used widely in southern Italy however, there are only a handful of fiano vineyards in NZ. It is typically dry with floral and honeyed notes on the nose, and a lightly textural palate with subtle spice and tropical fruit flavours.
This 2020 release is beautifully textural with bright citrus and floral notes. It carries fresh acidity and a line of minerality on the finish. A stunning wine from this boutique producer.

The winery writes "On release the wine had aromas of stone fruits, limes, fennel and a hint of green tea. On the palate white floral, lime and pears dominate with a subtle barley sugar note that mingles with an electric acidity on the finish. Textural, precise and mineral. This will improve age for at least 10 years."
