Robust Californian Cabernet from one of the region's finest producers. This is a firmly concentrated cabernet sauvignon with sweetly ripe blackcurrant and cassis fruit on a fine-structured, powerful and linear palate. A portion of the fruit is aged in bourbon whisky barrels which imparts a rich texture and spicy notes. Excellent.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is gorgeously fruited and complex on the nose showing blackcurrant, cigar, dark chocolate and warm spice aromas, followed by a richly textured palate that's plush and delicious. It's sweetly ripe and creamy with a lengthy velvety finish."

The winery writes "Layered and complex, our Bourbon Barrel-aged Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with aromas of blackberry cobbler, graham cracker, brown sugar, milk chocolate, coffee and smoke. A palate of blueberry pie, praline, sweet vanilla custard, caramel and mocha is framed by soft, chewy tannins and a hint of toasted oak on the lingering finish."
