Cameron Douglas MS writes "Complex, intriguing, youthful and vibrant. Aromas of dark plum and spices, blackberry and toasty barrel, violets and red gravel soil suggestions. The complexity continues as the wine touches the palate with a texture-laden mouthfeel unfolding from polished long-chain tannins soaked up by core fruit flavours and spices from barrel. Acidity carries all the flavours as well as adding its own quiver. Lengthy, well made and delicious. A wine to enjoy today and cellar if desired. best drinking from 2025 through 2035+."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Exhibiting elegance with power, this gracefully composed Bordeaux-style red shows blackcurrant, subtle tobacco, olive, cedar and violet aromas on the nose. The palate delivers exceptional focus and concentration, together with refined texture and multi-layered mouthfeel, leading to a classically structured, persistent finish. Sophisticated and captivating."
Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review writes "An intense merlot-dominant (60%) red with a core of juicy plum and berry flavours together with spicy French oak, cedar, hedgerow/dried herbs, and anise/liquorice characters. Elegant wine with serious cellaring potential. Clearly the product of an excellent vintage."
The winery writes "A supple, richly textured Syrah which has a base of black fruited berries and sweet fruit fragrance. Ripe Syrah is plush and mouthfilling and the subtle fine grained French oak provides underlying poise and aids structural integrity to this fine wine. A combination of purity of fruit and restrained elegance which will unfold beautifully with age."
