94 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
Lush, opulent North Canterbury Chardonnay from the Pyramid Valley team. The full-bodied palate is loaded with gorgeous creamy mouthfeel which is backed up by citrus and stonefruit flavours. Stunning.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Pure, ripe, distinctive and new. Aromas of fresh citrus and mineral with wet pebbles and chalk, additional core fruit scents of apple and white fleshed stone fruits, a gun-flint quality and youthful energy. Modern, fresh, youthful and delicious on the palate. A fine palate with medium+ weight, lots of energy with citrus and apple, white fleshed fruits, white flowers and a long fine finish. Layers of gun-flint and lees, fruit and judicious ise of barrel with some spice moments. Great drinking from late 2022 through 2029+."
The winery writes "Slightly hazy, unfiltered appearance with a golden lemon hue. Complex mineral nose with hazelnut, grilled almond notes supported by ripe stone fruits, citrus fruits and an underlying salinity."
