Winemaker Matt Connell has once again worked his magic with this 2024 release of Penkridge Farm Pinot Gris.
This is a varietally pure, textbook expression of quality Central Otago Pinot Gris that deserves all of your attention. Nicely textural with great palate weight, it's a standout option for lovers of fine pinot gris.

The winery writes "Aromas of orange blossom, lime and white peach on the nose. A rich balanced palate showing Asian pear and lychee flavours, with a long clean finish."
Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review writes "Subtle packham pear and crunchy white peach flavours weave across this delicate wine. Crisp and refreshing with subtle spicy flavours which build towards the off-dry, lightly chewy finish."
David Walker Bell, Wine Folio writes "A pale, copper-green in the glass, with bright and aromatic notes of nashi pear, peach, lime, apple, honey and jasmine florals on the nose. Just off-dry on the palate, with plenty of lush fruit sweetness balanced by a crisp acidity. Youthful, energetic and juicy, with a clean, mouth-watering line through to a rich and long finish."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Purity, freshness and lift frame the bouquet with scents of green pear and yellow apple, there’s a citrus peel and quince layer adding breadth. A lot more spice and lees textures shape the palate, plenty of acidity and freshness then fruit flavours that reelect the bouquet."
