The winery writes "A typical cool climate Cabernet blend - Cabernet Sauvignon providing lavender aromatic’s with drive and intensity on the palate, Merlot providing red fruit aroma’s and roundness and structure and Malbec with a hint of spice. Deep purple in colour with intense berry fruits and lifted spice. A full bodied and robust blend with blackcurrant backbone with a plummy soft fruit and fragrant spice."

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Wood smoke, dark spices and chocolate, dark berries of plum and blackberry then sunbaked stones encapsulate the bouquet. On the palate a firmly textured dry wine touches first then core fruit flavours of berries follow. The suggestions of chocolate and dark spices then toasty barrel flavours begin to develop. Firm tannins and medium acid line set the frame in place."
