92/100 | Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
An excellent example of modern Hawke's Bay Chardonnay from winemaker Jason Stent and his Paritua team. This is 100% barrel fermented wine with powerful fruit weight influenced by a mix of new and seasoned oak. It is perfectly pitched with fruit power and underlying drive but the focus is on fruit not the oak component. Malolactic fermentation adds just the right amount of creamy texture and palate weight. Recommended.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "An enticing and familiar bouquet with fresh white peach and apple scents layered between nut and toasty barrel aromas. Youthful, vibrant and complex. A satin cream texture as the wine touches the palate then burst of energy from acidity and barrel tannins followed by fruit flavours that relflect the bouquet. Plush and new, will age well with best drinking from 2024 through 2029+."
