Cameron Douglas writes "A striking bouquet with a perfume of pinosity and core red berry fruits, plum and barrel spices, soft scents roasted nut and barrel spices. Complex, youthful and very engaging. Delicious on the palate with flavours of ripe red berries from raspberry to red currant, some plum then complexity from barrel and soil. An abundance of polished finer tannins and medium+ acid line deliver an excellent mouth feel and subtle power."

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Stylish and sensually appealing, the wine shows dark berry, dried herb, game and earthy mushroom aromas on the nose, leading to a seamlessly flowing palate that's plush and expansive. Wonderfully supported by refined texture and finely infused tannins, finishing superbly long and satisfying."

The winery writes "A savoury, structured and beautifully layered Pinot Noir, with a nose of dark cherry, plum, and woodsmoke. On the palate are silky tannins, plump cherry fruit, and charred French Oak. 93% of the fruit comes from our organic Hua Nui, Winery and Pencarrow vineyards, with the balance coming from our Palliser Vineyard. A perfect match for eye fillet steak, pork belly, or Peking duck."
