CLASSIC CENTRAL OTAGO
94/100 | James Suckling
92/100 | Bob Campbell MW
A classic regional expression from one of Central's foremost producers, Mount Difficulty is a study in modern Central Otago winemaking. This 2022 wine is deeply savoury with flavours in the dark cherry spectrum. A fine line of acidity brings freshness and enhances the length of this release. Lovely wine from this classic producer.

The winery writes "True to its Bannockburn home, this 2021 vintage opens with vibrant aromas of cherry and berries, complemented by a subtle hint of spice from the careful use of oak. An energetic palate of red cherry, strawberry and black plums leads to a long finish framed by firm, fine tannins."
James Suckling writes "Spices, dark berries, strawberries, slate and lemon blossoms. Medium-bodied, creamy and spicy. Flavorful finish. Bright and vivid."
