Tasting Notes
Calmel & Joseph Syrah 2022 - The winery writes "A beautiful clear, red-purple colour. The nose is full and balanced with superb aromatic power with, as so often, wild strawberry, blackberry, fresh fig, laurel, and white pepper, followed by nutty notes of walnut and hazelnut before culminating in notes of cacao and vanilla. In the mouth the tannins are well integrated, supple, and smooth. The sensation is one of silky creaminess with notes of blackcurrant, coconut, and mocha finishing on redcurrant and vanilla pod."
Big Villa MANOR HOUSE Merlot 2020 - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Offering excellent fruit purity, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, floral and spicy oak characters. The palate is equally attractive with excellent weight and succulent fruit intensity, finishing long and delectable. Gorgeously composed and generously expressed, making it highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2030."
Cognoscente Pinot Noir 2020 - Medium red in colour with hints of purple and blue. Cherry and strawberry aromas with nuances of toast/ mocha coffee. Finely structured fruit and oak tannins. Soft, full-bodied and long lasting.
McPhersons XV Pure Cabernets 2020 - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Beautifully ripe and aromatic on the nose showing cassis, sweet plum, cedar, mixed spice and rich floral aromas. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity together with plush texture and silky tannins, finishing lingering and delectable".
Gnarly Head Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Rich and fragrant, the bouquet shows dark plum, vanilla, roasted hazelnut and warm spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that's supple and beautifully rounded. It’s generous and flavoursome, making it immediately appealing."
