92/100 'Premium' | Cameron Douglas MS - "Balanced, full-bodied, creamy and tasty."
A fantastic chardonnay from one of Hawke's Bay oldest producers. Made in the robust, powerfully fruited style that lovers of fine chardonnay adore, this is always sensational value and the 2023 certainly adds to that legacy. Recommended.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "An enticing bouquet of fresh peach and roasted nut, some baking spice and mineral layers add complexity and style. Balanced, full-bodied, creamy and tasty. Layers of spice and fresh yellow stone fruit flavours, apple and a mix of wood and earth smoke."
The winery writes "This wine is fruit driven, subtly influenced by medium and light toast French oak. The oak is very supportive of the fruit and gives fullness and length to the palate. Complexity is achieved through barrel fermentation, partial malolactic fermentation and lees stirring. The nose shows abundant stone fruit, sweet spices, and brioche. The palate is rich and full, with mouthwatering vibrancy and length."
