The Mohawk Hill vineyard is located in the foothills of the Pisa range - so named as a view of pine trees on a nearby hill ridge looks like a Mohawk. This is relatively tight and structured pinot that has been built for the long haul with plenty of acid and quite bold tannins. Smoky, savoury notes add quite a seductive quality. A wonderful pinot noir to watch unfold in the glass, but even better to watch it unfold over the coming 3-8 years.

The winery writes "Clone 667 / 36% whole cluster / 23 days maceration – without doubt the largest and most luscious of the 4 single vineyard Pinot Noirs, ripe cherry and plum aromas – rich, round and cuddly, a definite a crowd favourite."
