This limited edition, super-premium release showcases the talents of Hawke's Bay winemaking guru Rod McDonald at the very top of his game. Blessed with perfectly ripe fruit from a 25 year old vineyard in Havelock North, Trademark Chardonnay 2019 is seamless wine through and through. Built for the long haul, there's hints of struck flint on the nose with biscuit and stonefruit flavours on the palate. Full malolactic fermentation provides further creamy complexity to an already stunning wine.

The winery writes "A wine made for cellaring, with future complexity at its heart. Struck stone and flint on the nose with lemon curd, stone-fruit and a biscuit layered lees influence. The palate is initially tight but unfolds with time in the glass or cellar, and seamless with a persistent long finish."
