ANOTHER INCREDIBLE, SUPER PREMIUM, EXCLUSIVE SHIRAZ MEGADEAL!
97/100 | Ray Jordan - "Wonderful expression of the Barossa."
96/100 | Ken Gargett "Big, bold and balanced, this is dense and dancing."
This is another exclusive opportunity to purchase top-drawer, super-premium, old vine Barossa Shiraz at what can only be described as a compelling price.
The 2021 vintage in Barossa was heralded as one of the best vintages to date, and this sumptuous wine displays all the advantages of a superb growing season and a winemaking team at the top of their game.
Glossy dark red in the glass with aromas of spicy plum and milk chocolate, this is old vine, complex shiraz at its finest. On the palate it is rich, engaging wine with lavish flavours of plums and dark cherry, underpinned by a backbone of intergrated, finely textured tannins. It's powerful and complete - as the 96pt and 97pt reviews attest. Named Australia's Best New Producer by the Penguin Wine Guide and amongst the Top 10 Australian Wineries by Decanter Magazine, Hewitson is a super-premium producer and this wine is a testament to that reputation. Let's just say: it's very clear that this wine was not produced to sell at $34.99.
Clearly, with an opportunity of this magnitude, stocks are strictly limited, and we strongly suggest you secure your personal requirements before telling colleagues, family and friends.

Ray Jordan writes "97pts. Comes off some pretty old, ungrafted Barossa vines. It's a most elegant and refined wine that shows another side of the Barossa. Largely traditional winemaking with gentle crushing, fermentation in open vats for three weeks and then pressing to Fresh barriques for 15 months. Has a lovely spicy perfume on the nose with races of red berry and light cedar. The palate is almost medium weight in that it is so effortless and stylish. Extends with ease to an exceptionally long finish. Wonderful expression of the Barossa. Cellar: 18 years."
Ken Gargett writes "96pts. A few whole berries included in the ferment here, which is in open vats with heading-down boards for three weeks, then fifteen months in older French barriques. Maroon/purple in colour with aromas of chocolate, mocha, plums and cassis. There is good oak integration with some Madagascar vanilla evident complimented by bay leaves and coffee beans on the palate. Big, bold and balanced, this is dense and dancing. Richly flavoured, with saturated fruits, silky tannins and a lingering finish. This has ten years at least ahead of it."
