Made from 100% viura and aged for 6 months in French oak barrels, Hacienda El Ternero Rioja Alta is fantastic. It's dry, full-bodied, savoury and very reminiscent of well-crafted barrel fermented chardonnay. Subtle notes of white blossoms intertwine with hints of vanilla and almonds to keep the complexity alive. A must try.

The winery writes "Straw coloured, bright, with light tones of pale gold. Sweet aromas that bring to mind pineapple jam, pastries and almond flowers. Tropical fruits and fruits in syrup, including pear and apple. An all-encompassing palate, with good acidity, protracted flavour and a sweet background."
