When we discovered this double gold medal winning gem, we were almost tempted to keep it a secret. Montepulciano was once the staple grape for cheap and cheerful, ‘pizza-friendly’  Italian reds but a small handful of producers are now embracing the amazing potential of this varietal - and Feudi Bizantini is at the forefront of that movement.

Passofino is Bizantini's flagship release, and it is blessed with the most outstanding fruit parcels from each vintage.  All care is taken in the winery to make this special wine a celebration of montepulciano, and one taste will confirm that these guys really know what they are doing. 
 
This rich and satisfying wine is all black fruit and silken choco-berry flavours balanced with velvety tannins. It has the body to match heartier savoury dishes, and the powerful fruit weight to put any black forest gateaux to shame. Who needs dessert when the wine is this good?!
