Established in 1976, Duckhorn Estate have spent the last 40 years creating a name for themselves as one of the premium producers in North America. While their portfolio has grown over the years, they have always had a reputation for producing iconic reds.
Their merlot dominant blend is a rich and ripe rendition that showcases the varied growing sites in Napa Valley. Vibrant dark fruit flavours flood the palate with subtle notes of clove / spice from extended oak ageing playing supporting roles.

76% merlot, 22% cabernet sauvignon, 2% cabernet franc.
The winery writes "A blend of 90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon,1% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. From its tantalizing aromas of ripe cherry and black plum to its fine-grained tannins and lively complexity, this is a lovely expression of Napa Valley Merlot. On the palate, the flavors are rich and fleshy, with luxurious layers of black currant, red licorice, fig compote, blueberry, and crushed rose petal flowing to a long, elegant finish."
James Suckling writes "Aromas of plums, redcurrants, baking spice and dried roses. Medium-bodied with velvety tannins. Vibrant acidity articulates the juicy red fruit and berries. A hint of herbal character adds pleasant savoriness, too."
