96% shiraz, 4% viognier.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It's attractively fruited and inviting on the nose showing Black Doris plum, mulberry, mixed spice and almond notes, followed by a succulent palate offering supple texture and silky tannins. Upfront and very tasty."
Natalie MacLean writes "The Black Chook 2019 is floral on the nose with dark cherry, earthy, savoury herb, pepper and toasty oak spice flavours generous on the palate. Great food-friendly acidity to pair with BBQ beef ribs."
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier writes "An excellent full-bodied shiraz made with 96% shiraz and 4% viognier. That 4% viognier improves the structure of the wine. On the nose, aromas of dark berries, some floral notes and milk chocolate. The plush palate reveals more dark berries, plums, dusty mocha and subtle spice, with polished tannins and fine acidity. A terrific wine to pair with lamb chops or bbq ribs."
