Stunning repeat stunning gris from winemaker Dave McKee. Black Barn are consistently producing top quality wines, and this is a massive staff favourite. Just off dry, it is a lovely example of what great Hawke's Bay Gris should be. This is a must try for lovers of this elegant varietal.

The winery writes "Aromas of fresh nashi pear, citrus blossom and a hint of ginger layered with a hint of creme brulee. The rich, full palate reveals fleshy succulent fleshy notes with a finely textured balance leading into a long finish. A crafted fine food wine."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Bright, fresh and lifted aromatic bouquet of white spice and fresh green pear, there’s a white nectarine and light citrus flesh quality with a whisper of lemon. Additional scents of white flowers, ginger spice and lees layer in shape, form and depth. A dry wine as it touches the palate, flavours reflect the bouquet with white fleshed fruits, spice and harmony with the acidity and alcohol. Well made, taut and youthful."
