Yalumba Y Series Merlot 2021 - Cameron Douglas MS writes "Ripe, dark fruited bouquet with sweet Doris plums and vanilla smoky wood tones, some violets and dark clay mineral qualities. A core of dark fruit flavours from plums to back berries, there’s a ripe sweet quality from the fruit accentuated by the influences of wood and alcohol. Moderate acidity layers in some frshness. A balanced even wine ready to drink from 2023 through 2026+."
Thornbury Pinot Noir 2020 - Cameron Douglas MS writes "Very youthful appearance with a core of ruby and a gentle pink-ish rim, no colour staining of the tears and showing a medium+ viscosity. Aromas center on red fruits from ripe cranberry to dark cherry skin then a little black currant. The bouquet also reveals a very light dried herb quality. Sound, youthful, varietal and appealing. On the palate an equally varietal and fruity wine at the core with red berry and cherry fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet. The dried herb quality remains accentuating the mix of fine tannins and medium+ acid line. Some baking spice suggestions reflect the use of some older French oak and some fine lees work offer more mouth feel adding to a moderate complexity. Well made with a decent finish."
Wild South Shiraz 2023 - A nicely weighted, fruit forward style that shows an amalgam of juicy black and red fruits on the palate. Good texture and softly expressed tannins make for an easy drinking style that will have very wide appeal.
