Alpha Domus The Aviator Cabernets Merlot Malbec 2019

Alpha Domus's flagship Bordeaux blend knocks it out of the park again and, with the skyrocketing prices of the Hawke's Bay prestige labels, there is a strong argument to support 'Aviator' as the regions best value super premium red.

The 2019 is a richly weighted cabernet sauvignon dominant release with cabernet franc, merlot and malbec in support. It's a study in how the Bordeaux varietals perform in the Bridge Pa Triangle sub-region and showcases the areas dark fruit characters with lots of spicy oak and classic cabernet tobacco leaf characters on the palate. Seriously good.
