Named in honour of Henri Bourgeois’ wife, Solange, this elegant Blanc de Noirs brings together Clos Henri’s French winemaking heritage and its Marlborough home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003eThe 2023 is vibrant and beautifully refined, opening with white nectarine and pear, threaded with fragrant nutmeg and cardamom. The palate has wonderful purity and tension, with sophisticated notes of anise and brioche adding complexity. Richer flavours of meringue, crème de marron and fig emerge on the finish, balanced by a subtle saline edge and a long, fresh mineral drive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are lightly whole-bunch pressed, with 60% fermented in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity and finesse, while the remaining 40% is fermented and aged in neutral oak. The base wine spends 10 months on lees before tirage, followed by a slow secondary fermentation and a minimum of 24 months sur latte in Clos Henri’s cool cellar.
